Can regular intake of alcohol cause hypertension?

Blood is the primary medium of transportation of the nutrients and oxygen to the vital organs of our body. The heart pumps the blood because of the pressure exerted by the blood against the blood vessels are often referred as blood pressure. The normal blood pressure of the individual is 120/80 mm of Hg. Any level above the normal blood pressure is called as high blood pressure or Hypertension.
Hypertension is a state where the heart is made to work hard to pump the blood and it occurs due to many factors such as cholesterol, pregnancy, obesity and alcohol intake. Alcohol consumption aggravates the hypertension and even when an individual stops drinking habits the left out is considered as the alcohol withdrawal and it causes an increased flow of adrenalin, which gives the patient nervousness, shivering and restlessness. The high level of adrenalin also causes the heart to produce an unnatural rhythm and this is called as the holiday heart.

When the alcohol gets accumulated in the blood stream, the mobilization of the oxygen and the nutrients to the heart is often affected and thus heart has to overwork to meet the oxygen demand and thus it increases the blood pressure. But then the precise reason for alcohol induced hypertension is not yet known
