EKG and Blood Pressure

Electrocardiography, also known as EKG or ECG is basically a transthoracic explanation of the overall electrical activities of our heat over a certain period of time and is captured externally. The numbers are recorded by the help of skin electrodes. It is basically a non-invasive recording procedure performed through an electrocardiographic device.
EKG is normally done to see whether or not he heart is functioning normally. The procedure is used to detect and record the rhythm of the heart and its activity on moving paper strip. It is usually the doctor who reads the findings and interprets the same which is represented in the form of dips and peaks on the paper to show the unusual activities.
EKG is often suggested to people having problems with high blood pressure because high blood pressure or hypertension is the cause of many heart related diseases. If a person has hypertension it becomes obvious for him to go for EKG frequently so as to check whether or not his heart has been functioning normally.

Through EKG it is possible to diagnose different types of diseases, such as a past heart attack, cholesterol blocking the blood supply of the heart, heart enlargement, abnormal rhythms of the heart.
