Can chest pain be linked with elevated blood pressure levels?

If the hypertension or the high blood pressure is left untreated, it may cause various hazards to the normal functioning of many organs like heart, kidney, brain and eyes. Hypertension can cause the constriction of the arteries and hardens the arterial walls by fat deposition resulting in the condition called atherosclerosis, which in turn leads to coronary heart disease and increases the risk of heart attack and other cardio vascular diseases.
When adequate amount of blood is not supplied to the heart, high blood pressure not only thickening the blood vessels but also narrows down the blood vessel and in the process the blood vessels becomes very weak and ruptures to cause chest pain or angina. Moreover, the heart works hard to meet the required oxygen demand and it struggles to do its normal function resulting in heart pain. 

As such there are no warning symptoms for the emergence of high blood pressure, doing regular exercises and the controlled diet are the ways that help an individual to safeguard from hypertension and its consequences. It is also necessary to take up a medical check up to monitor the levels of the blood pressure on a routine basis to prevent the consequences of the hypertension.
