What is essential hypertension? |
Essential hypertension refers to the condition when the blood pressure seems to be consistently higher than the normal value, despite the prevalence of any potent trigger. As per many experts, the condition is the result of any unknown and yet-to-be discovered factors. This is exactly the reason why certain people fail to respond to the usual set of treatment medicines given for hypertension. It is remarkable to note that more than 95 per cent of patients reporting high blood pressure have essential hypertension. The conditions that decide the perpetual build-up of this disorder are the amount of blood pumped out by the heart, condition of the interior walls of the arteries, percentage of water and salt in the body system, size of the arteries. In addition, the health of other organs in particular the kidneys, nervous system, hormone levels also play a major role in contributing towards the build-up of essential hormone. Other factors like stress, smoking habits, alcohol consumptions, gender, sex, race and age also trigger this medical condition. Fortunately, the condition can be well detected on time by the occurrence of unusual symptoms like dizziness, persistent head ache, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting. |
