Ocular Hypertension Symptoms

Ocular hypertension is a condition in which the pressure inside the eyes increases and it goes beyond 21 mm of mercury. A person suffering from ocular hypertension does not experience any symptoms such as blurred or changing vision at its initial stages and initially there is no damage caused to optic nerve. It is very important to treat ocular hypertension otherwise it can result in developing serious condition of eyes such as glaucoma which causes blurred vision. If a person is suffering from ocular hypertension from long time and if he is unknown about it then he can experience symptom of eye damage.
The nerves of the eyes are damaged if proper treatment in not given to a person suffering from ocular hypertension. As it progresses it can damage the optic nerve of the eyes due to increased pressure inside eyes and reduction in the blood flow. Damage in blood vessels and arteries of eye are the symptoms experienced by a person suffering from ocular hypertension. There are several risk factors that are associated with ocular hypertension such as glaucoma.
