Tips for interpreting blood pressure after measurement

In order to interpret blood pressure results firstly it is vital to find out the actual meaning of blood pressure. In this pressure is exerted on the walls of arteries. There are changes seen in the blood pressure from time to time. But if on persistent basis if the pressure remains high then the patient may be diagnosed as the patient of blood pressure.
While monitoring blood pressure levels the doctor uses stethoscope and sphygmomanometer. While reading is recorded it is seen that there are two types of pressure readings seen. One is systolic and the other is diastolic pressure. Both of them are equally useful in order to interpret the results.
Suppose if the first reading that you get is 120 and the second is 80 then the blood pressure is interpreted as 120/80. 120/80 is a normal reading. And it is considered as normal blood pressure. Reading that is between 120/80 and 139/89 is the stage of prehypertension. It won’t require medication but still certain lifestyle changes will be recommended at this stage. Anything above the prehypertension stage calls for medical attention and may need medications.
If you want to take blood pressure at home then you may even buy a blood pressure monitor.
