Essential oils for high blood pressure |
High blood pressure, better known as high blood pressure is the condition that erupts due to the contraction in the size of the blood vessels all over the body. As a result, an additional force has to be exerted by the heart to pump the blood through these blood vessels and reach it to the entire body system. Mild to moderate increase in the blood pressure can be well controlled by the adoption of the right lifestyle and diet. Moreover, massage or application of certain oils with therapeutic benefits can also bring about improvements in the blood pressure level. Some of examples of such medicinal oils known for the amazing blood pressure alleviation properties are Ylang ylang, Clary sage, lavender, marjoram, lemon. Most of these oils can be simply massaged onto the body surface to allow their proper penetration deep into the skin. However, one may also add a few drops of the chosen oil in water for a relaxing bath. Therapists mostly use a combination of two or more oils to meet the proper natural treatment for this condition. Ideally, three drops of oils like lavender, Ylang Ylang, and Marjoram are mixed and then massaged on the soles of the feet. The direction of the massage can be both clockwise and anti-clockwise to encourage an effective penetration. |
