Palpation method of blood pressure measurement

Palpation method can be effectively used to measure blood pressure of a person accurately and effectively. In this process, texture of the tissues is under examination. Palpation method aims at assessing tenderness of deformed tissues within heart. Locating palpation landmark is highly crucial in the direction of ensuring the findings accurate. There are two protocols to locate palpation landmarks. They are manual palpation and virtual palpation. Both of them can be used independently to measure blood pressure of a person.  Palpation methods are highly useful in the direction of measuring systolic pressure accurately during emergency.  While measuring this, physicians take different indications into account.  Radial pulse palpation indicates that the systolic pressure of the victim is around 80mm Hg. If there is femoral pulse, the person is having 70mmHg blood pressure and the same is 60mmHg if the person is indicating carotid pulse. However, some of the studies have found that finding of palpation method is an overestimated one. This method is unable to measure diastolic pressure of a person.
