Hypertensive Related Stroke Signs

Strokes are a possibility when dealing with hypertension, especially if it is uncontrolled and every person with high blood pressure should know the signs. The first thing to know is experiencing any of these signs it is important to get immediate medical treatment. Some of the symptoms that can be experienced when having a stroke are:

  • Headache, dizziness and vomiting with these symptoms occurring at the same time.
  • Blurred vision in one or both eyes that occurs abruptly.
  • Speech difficulties with words and sentences
  • Sudden memory loss
  • The body suddenly becoming paralyzed
  • Loss of consciousness

These can all be signs of a stroke and it is also possible to suffer a mini stroke prior to a severe stroke, this is known as a Transient Ischemic Attack. When medical attention is obtained when there is a mini stroke it is possible to minimize a severe stroke and the damage it can do to the body. Medical attention prior to a severe stroke has proven successful in limiting the damage to the body the stroke is able to do.
