High Blood Pressure and Sweating

There are many symptoms and side effects related to high blood pressure and one of these can be sweating or perspiring. While there have been studies done they have not linked sweating, this is often a condition that many people with high blood pressure suffer from. This is not the normal perspiring; this is profuse sweating and can be caused by rise in temperature of the body due to a rapid heartbeat.

This condition is called hyperhidrosis, which is used to describe excessive perspiration for several types of diseases including ones that affect the sweat glands. When someone high blood pressure is affected by profuse sweating the physician should check for other types of disease, including those involving the sweat glands that could be causing the condition. This condition can be present in people that are faced with a weight condition, which can cause hyperactive sweat glands.

That should be discussed with the physician is that can be an underlying condition from which the side effects are attributed to the high blood pressure condition. This can include conditions like diabetes mellitus or a hormonal imbalance.

If these conditions are present, along with high blood pressure they need to be treate properly and brought under control so that there are no severe affects to the health. This can mean a change in lifestyle and diet.
